Grand Dafam Signature Surabaya is a 4-star luxurious hotel with a size of ± 2,198.37 sqm and has 172 rooms. To stand out in the second-largest city in Indonesia, the hotel focussed on creating a grand aesthetic starting from the entrance of the hotel.

The 4-star hotel is managed by Dafam Hotel management. The design of the hotel has a classical look, however, the designer also wanted to implement modern touches to appeal to a fresh, young crowd. MM Galleri understands the correlation between good design and perceived status. To communicate the sense of luxury to visitors, MM Galleri supplied several natural stones with different patterns so as to add varying dimensions to the hotel’s interior and exterior, while keeping the color palette to black and light beige. The key here was to keep the tone of the stones complimentary to the overall lighting of the hotel. Hence, a smooth finish to the stones would help to enhance the effect. For example, Portoro Silver marble with a smooth finish for the hotel lobby was able to reflect the entire grand roof and all the elements in the space, creating a mirror-like effect that spells out luxury.

The project was a success as MM Galleri was able to deliver and help create a phenomenal building. To this day, Grand Dafam Signature Surabaya continues to retain its luxurious status in design and services.
