About this stone
Marble is a metamorphic rock composed of
recrystallized carbonate minerals, most
commonly calcite or dolomite. We procure
premium grade materials and purchase blocks
and slabs only after a thorough inspection
process.
As favorite medium for Greek and Roman
sculptors and architects, marble has become a
cultural symbol of tradition and refined taste.
Its highly varied and colorful patterns make it a
favorite decorative material.
How do you care for marble?
Marble is a calcium carbonate stone. Acids such as lemon juice, vinegar and wine leave dull marks (etching) on a polished surface, so wipe spills up at once and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner. A penetrating sealer helps it resist stains; reseal when water no longer beads on the surface.
