Volcanic stone, finished with fire.
Lithoglaze is glazed lava stone, made at industrial scale since late 2025. Each piece is heated to between 1,000 and 1,200 °C, and a glaze is fired into its surface: a finish that becomes part of the stone.
Glazed lava stone usually comes as a table top, two to three centimetres thick. We start from the solid block. Our factory holds the supply of lava stone blocks and the machinery to work them, so a piece can be made whole: cut from the block, shaped to the design, and finished as one solid piece of lava stone rather than a thin layer over another material.
Industrial scale means it can be repeated, piece after piece, for a whole project.
Stone that began as fire, finished with fire, and made whole.
